Ahmedabad News: In a major push for urban growth and welfare, Bhupendra Patel inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth ₹1,099 crore in Ahmedabad. The announcement, made at a grand event held at the University Convention Center Ahmedabad, marks a significant step toward strengthening infrastructure and improving living standards in the city.

The large-scale initiative underlines the state government’s commitment to transforming Ahmedabad into a modern, sustainable, and citizen-friendly urban hub. The event drew attention not only for the scale of projects unveiled but also for the Chief Minister’s engaging and approachable demeanor.

Major Development Projects Unveiled

As part of the Ahmedabad News update, several key projects were officially opened to the public. These include newly constructed shelter homes in areas like Sola, Bhadaj, and Hebatpur, aimed at providing better living conditions for urban residents in need.

Additionally, a state-of-the-art auditorium at Naroda Patiya was inaugurated, enhancing the city’s cultural and community infrastructure. The government also conducted a housing scheme draw to allocate homes to economically weaker sections, reinforcing its focus on inclusive development.

Empowering Anganwadi Workers with Technology

One of the highlights of the event was the distribution of smartphones to Anganwadi workers. These devices will support the use of the ‘Poshan Track App,’ enabling better monitoring of child nutrition and health services. This move is expected to modernize grassroots-level healthcare delivery and empower frontline workers with digital tools.

Interestingly, the venue for the event was changed at the last moment due to another social function at the originally planned location. The Chief Minister himself suggested the shift, reflecting his flexible and considerate leadership style.

Looking ahead, the Chief Minister announced plans to extend the Sabarmati Riverfront towards GIFT City, further enhancing connectivity and urban appeal. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to achieving the vision of a “Developed Gujarat” by 2047, contributing to the larger goal of a developed India.
