A shocking case of violence has gripped Gujarat after a young man was brutally murdered in Bhavnagar district, allegedly over a love marriage that had sparked deep resentment. The incident, now widely being referred to as the “Bhavnagar Youth Murdered” case, has sent waves of fear and outrage across the Saurashtra region.

The crime unfolded late at night in Valukad village of Ghogha taluka, where a 29-year-old youth was attacked and killed in a gruesome manner. According to police officials, the attackers showed no mercy as they repeatedly stabbed the victim, leaving him fatally injured on the road. Despite attempts by passersby to intervene, the assailants fled the scene after committing the crime.

Brutal Murder in Bhavnagar Shocks Entire Region

The tragic incident took place on the night of March 28 near the bus stand in Valukad village. The victim, identified as Ravibhai alias Lalabhai Anilbhai Klotra (29), had reportedly stepped out on his two-wheeler for a short ride when he was ambushed by three unidentified men.

Eyewitness accounts and initial police findings reveal that the attackers stopped his vehicle and launched a sudden and violent assault. Armed with knives, they targeted multiple parts of his body, including his face, neck, chest, abdomen, and limbs. The repeated stabbing left Ravibhai critically injured and bleeding profusely on the roadside.

A passerby who witnessed the horrifying scene even recorded parts of the incident on a mobile phone, providing crucial evidence to investigators. The video is now expected to play a key role in identifying and prosecuting the accused.

Victim Succumbed to Injuries Before Treatment

After the attack, locals rushed to help the injured man and arranged for him to be taken to the hospital. However, due to the severity of his injuries, Ravibhai died shortly after reaching the medical facility.

His body was later sent to Bhavnagar Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination. The brutal nature of the crime has sparked panic among residents of the area, with many demanding swift action from law enforcement authorities.

Police Launch Massive Investigation

As soon as the police received information about the incident, a large team, including senior officials, rushed to the spot. Authorities from Vartej Police Station, along with the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP), initiated an immediate investigation.

ASP Ghanshyam Gautam confirmed that the police were alerted around 10:00 PM about a body lying on the road near Valukad village. Acting swiftly, officers reached the location, secured the scene, and began the inquest procedure.

To speed up the investigation, multiple police teams have been formed. These include units from the Local Crime Branch (LCB), Special Operations Group (SOG), and other specialized teams. They are currently working on gathering human intelligence and analyzing technical evidence to trace the accused.

Officials have expressed confidence that the culprits in the Bhavnagar Youth Murdered case will be arrested soon.

Love Marriage at the Center of the Conflict

Preliminary investigations suggest that the murder was not random but deeply rooted in a personal dispute involving a love marriage. According to the complaint filed by the victim’s mother, Dhaniben Anilbhai Klotra, the incident was linked to her son’s relationship with a woman from Ahmedabad.

Ravibhai had reportedly met a young woman named Janviben, the daughter of Munna Prafulbhai Balya, while working as a driver in Ahmedabad. Over time, the two developed a relationship and decided to get married.

However, their union was strongly opposed by the woman’s family.

Court Marriage in 2023 Triggered Tensions

Despite the opposition, the couple went ahead and registered their marriage in court in 2023. After the marriage, Janviben continued to stay at her parental home, while Ravibhai returned to Bhavnagar.

This arrangement did little to ease tensions. Instead, it further aggravated the situation, as the woman’s family reportedly felt insulted by the marriage.

According to the victim’s mother, attempts were made earlier to formalize the relationship through engagement discussions, but these were rejected by the girl’s father.

Repeated Threats Before the Murder

The complaint also reveals that Ravibhai had been receiving threats prior to the attack. Just three days before the incident, an unidentified person reportedly visited his house and issued a chilling warning.

The message was clear and alarming:
“You have tarnished our honor. If we find you, we will finish you.”

These threats now appear to have culminated in the fatal attack, strengthening suspicions of a premeditated crime.

Four Accused Named in FIR

Based on the complaint filed by the victim’s mother, police have registered a case against four individuals. The accused include:

  • Munna Prafulbhai Balya (resident of Ahmedabad)
  • Haresh alias Hari Gopalbhai Aal (resident of Sihor)
  • Kishor alias Kishan Dhirubhai Chauhan
  • One unidentified person

The case has been registered under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including provisions related to murder, criminal conspiracy, and unlawful acts, along with relevant sections of the Gujarat Police Act.

Attackers Fled With Victim’s Vehicle

In a shocking detail, police revealed that after carrying out the brutal attack, the accused fled the scene using the victim’s own two-wheeler. This has added another layer to the investigation, as tracking the stolen vehicle could provide leads to their whereabouts.

Authorities are currently analyzing CCTV footage from nearby areas and tracking possible escape routes used by the attackers.
