Digital Inauguration and Foundation Ceremony
Rajkot District Collector Dr. Om Prakash said that the Chief Minister’s tentative schedule begins in the evening.
Between 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm, Bhupendra Patel will attend a programme organised by the Pujit Rupani Foundation. After that, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, he will reach Saurashtra University, where the new auditorium will host the e-inauguration and e-foundation stone ceremony for multiple development projects across the city.
During the same event, 67 farmers from Thorala will receive their long-awaited 7/12 land ownership documents, resolving a land issue that had remained pending for nearly 50 years.
The administration will also officially launch the “Swachh Haath, Poshan Saath” campaign, an initiative focused on promoting hygiene and nutrition awareness.
Later in the evening, from 7:15 pm to 7:45 pm, the Chief Minister is scheduled to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Rajkot Builders Association at a private party plot in Mavdi.
26 Rajkot Civic Projects to Be Launched

The Rajkot Municipal Corporation will inaugurate:
- 13 completed projects worth ₹98.12 crore
In addition, foundation stones will be laid for:
- 13 new projects worth ₹154.04 crore

New Library Building Finally Ready for Students
Another major attraction during the Saurashtra University event will be the inauguration of the university’s new library building, which has been constructed at a cost of ₹7.71 crore.
Although the building had been completed some time ago, it could not be opened because essential fire safety equipment and the required Fire NOC had not been obtained. As a result, students were unable to use the new facility despite the construction being finished.
With all necessary approvals now in place, the library will finally be opened for students, providing improved study spaces, better academic resources, and modern infrastructure for teaching and research.
Health Centre Also to Be Inaugurated
The Chief Minister will also inaugurate the university’s newly upgraded Health Centre, developed at a cost of ₹68.57 lakh. The facility is expected to improve healthcare services available to students, faculty members, and university staff.
