Massive Preparations Underway Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Visit to Vadodara
PM Modi Vadodara Welcome: The city of Vadodara is preparing for a large-scale public event as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit on May 11 for the inauguration of Sardar Dham Phase 3. Following the official ceremony, a grand roadshow has been planned, with civic authorities, BJP workers, and local organizations making extensive arrangements across the city.
The visit has generated considerable excitement among supporters, particularly after the Bharatiya Janata Party’s recent political success in West Bengal. Organizers say the PM Modi Vadodara Welcome celebrations will prominently feature cultural elements inspired by Bengal, blending traditional performances, decorative lighting, and public displays along the route.
Bengal-Themed Decor to Highlight the Roadshow
According to local BJP leaders, the theme of the welcome event has been designed around Bengal’s cultural identity. Multiple stages will be set up across the roadshow route where artists are expected to perform cultural programs representing Bengali traditions and folk art.
City BJP president Dr. Jayprakash Soni said that residents are showing strong enthusiasm for the Prime Minister’s arrival. He added that around 15 cultural stages are being prepared to showcase performances during the evening roadshow.
Members of the Bengali community living in Vadodara are also expected to participate in the celebrations and greet the Prime Minister during the event. Organizers estimate that more than 25,000 people could attend the roadshow.
LED Screens and Decorative Lighting Installed Across the City
Large LED screens have been installed at several key locations from the highway area to the airport road to welcome the Prime Minister. Near Golden Chowkdi, giant digital displays are being set up on both sides of the road to broadcast welcome messages and visuals related to the visit.
Municipal teams have intensified beautification work along the roadshow route. Decorative lighting installations are also being arranged throughout the stretch from Gada Circle to the airport. Officials say the entire area will be illuminated with themed lighting effects intended to create a festive atmosphere.
The lighting design is also expected to reflect Bengal-inspired aesthetics, adding a unique visual identity to the event. Preparatory work on illumination and stage setup is nearing completion, with trial lighting expected to begin shortly.
National Flags and Barricades Placed Along the Route
Authorities have installed national flags throughout the roadshow corridor to mark the occasion. Barricades have also been erected on both sides of the roads to manage crowds and ensure public safety during the Prime Minister’s movement.
The roadshow will reportedly begin from Gada Circle and continue up to the airport, covering a stretch of approximately 1.5 kilometers. Thousands of supporters are expected to line the roads to greet the Prime Minister and celebrate the BJP’s recent electoral victories.
Political observers believe the event will also serve as an opportunity for the Prime Minister to thank party supporters and voters following BJP’s strong performance in local body elections in Gujarat.
High-Level Security Review Conducted
A high-level coordination meeting was held at the Collector’s office ahead of the visit to review administrative and security arrangements. Senior officials from various government departments attended the meeting to finalize planning for crowd management, traffic movement, and emergency response systems.
Vadodara Police Commissioner Narasimha Komar stated that extensive security measures will be implemented during the Prime Minister’s visit. Police personnel will be deployed across the entire route, and multiple agencies are coordinating to maintain strict surveillance and smooth operations throughout the event.
Security checks, traffic diversions, and restricted movement zones are also expected to be enforced in several areas during the program hours.
