More Than 1,340 Security Personnel Deployed Across the City
PM Modi Jamnagar Arrival: Extensive security arrangements have been put in place in Jamnagar ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled arrival and overnight stay in the city on Sunday. Authorities have intensified surveillance and law enforcement measures to ensure smooth movement, public safety, and uninterrupted execution of the Prime Minister’s itinerary.
The large-scale security deployment reflects the high level of preparedness typically associated with visits by the country’s top leadership. Officials said multiple police units and security agencies have been mobilized to prevent any security lapses during the visit.
Senior Officers Overseeing Security Operations
The overall security operation is being conducted under the supervision of Rajkot Range Inspector General Nirlep Rai. According to police officials, the security plan is being monitored by 12 IPS officers along with 13 Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) rank officers.
Authorities stated that security coordination has been planned in detail, covering the Prime Minister’s travel route, event venues, accommodation site, and surrounding sensitive areas. Special attention has also been given to crowd management and emergency response preparedness.
As part of the PM Modi Jamnagar Arrival Security arrangements, more than 1,340 personnel have been deployed across the city. The force includes Police Sub-Inspectors (PSIs), Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), head constables, constables, women police personnel, and Home Guard teams.
Grand Rehearsal Conducted Before Visit
Ahead of the Prime Minister’s arrival, security agencies carried out a full-scale grand rehearsal in Jamnagar to test operational readiness. The rehearsal included route inspections, convoy movement coordination, vehicle checking procedures, and emergency response drills.
Quick Response Teams (QRTs) were also reviewed to ensure rapid action capability in case of any unforeseen situation. Police teams assessed communication systems, barricading plans, and deployment points across the city.
Officials said the exercise was aimed at identifying potential gaps and strengthening coordination between various departments involved in the security operation.

Increased Surveillance Across Key Areas
Police presence has been significantly increased on major roads, intersections, and public locations throughout Jamnagar. Continuous patrolling and vehicle inspections are being carried out, particularly in areas considered strategically sensitive.
Authorities are also maintaining strict monitoring of vehicles entering the city. Security checks have been intensified at key entry points as part of the broader PM Modi Jamnagar Arrival Security plan.
In addition to local police units, multiple security agencies are working in coordination and remain on high alert throughout the Prime Minister’s visit. Surveillance teams and field officers have been instructed to maintain constant vigilance until the completion of the program.
Public Asked to Cooperate With Authorities
Police officials have appealed to residents to cooperate with security personnel and follow traffic advisories issued during the Prime Minister’s movement. Citizens have also been requested to avoid unnecessary congestion near restricted zones and comply with checking procedures.
The administration expects temporary traffic diversions and heightened security screening in some parts of the city during the visit. Authorities emphasized that the measures are being implemented purely as a precaution to ensure public safety and the smooth conduct of the Prime Minister’s schedule.
