Bhavnagar Wall Dispute: A seemingly minor disagreement between neighbors in Gujarat’s Bhavnagar city escalated into a violent confrontation, leaving a young man injured after he was allegedly attacked with a sword. The incident, now widely referred to as the Bhavnagar Wall Dispute, occurred near Randalma Chowk in the K. Para area and has prompted police action against the accused couple.
According to official information, the altercation began over a disagreement about hammering nails into a shared wall. What initially appeared to be a routine neighborhood complaint soon spiraled into a serious physical assault, resulting in injuries and a police complaint.
Disagreement Over Nails in Wall Sparks Conflict
The injured man, identified as 30-year-old Sagar Dineshbhai Makwana, a resident of the K. Para Randalma Chowk locality, lodged a complaint at the Gangajaliya Police Station regarding the incident. In his statement to authorities, Makwana said the dispute occurred on the previous afternoon while he was resting at home.
At the time, his grandmother, Bhavanaben, was performing household chores when she noticed their neighbor, Ishwar Jadav, hammering nails into a wall located near the property boundary. Concerned that the nails could damage the wall structure, she reportedly asked him to stop and warned that the action might cause damage to the wall surface.
This remark reportedly triggered an argument between the two neighbors.
Alleged Sword Attack and Street Assault
According to the police complaint, Ishwar Jadav and his wife, Jaguben Jadav, allegedly began arguing aggressively and verbally abusing the family following the objection. Hearing the commotion, Sagar Makwana stepped in to calm the situation and try to resolve the disagreement.
However, the situation quickly turned violent.
Makwana claims that Ishwar Jadav went inside his home and returned with a sword before launching an attack. During the assault, Makwana sustained injuries to his hand. The complaint further states that during the scuffle, both Ishwar and Jaguben allegedly dragged him onto the road and assaulted him, causing additional injuries to his left leg.
Family members reportedly rushed to the scene and intervened, managing to pull Makwana away from the attackers. Before leaving, the accused couple allegedly issued threats to kill him, further intensifying the seriousness of the Bhavnagar Wall Dispute.

Authorities are urging residents to seek peaceful solutions and report disputes to local authorities before they turn violent.
